About:

Based in Occupied Jerusalem, Mashal is a Palestinian filmmaker interested in how personal stories reveal larger histories. My work moves between narrative, documentary, and music videos often centering on memory, displacement, and the textures of life in Palestine today.

With more than 15 years of experience in the field, Mashal began working in film at 16 on the feature documentary “Speed Sisters”, and later co-produced and shot BLTNM’s “Inn Ann” music video, which gained wide international attention. He recently wrote and directed his first short film, “The Flag” (2026), supported by AFAC, Filmlab: Palestine, and other partners.
